Yeehaw! I’m finally an owner of a DSLR.

It’s been years since I’ve been contemplating getting one and I finally took the plunge just last night. It was a really quick decision, all made within just one, two hours.

It’s a super old model, probably 3 years plus old, cost me $350 for the body and a kit lens. There’s a risk that it might just die on me given its age, but I’d like to believe that they are sturdier than that. I mean, shutter count is only 4000+ clicks (so he says) so the sensor should be quite fresh despite the age.

But the point is, I’ve got a DSLR finally, albeit an old one, and it really helps that I’ve adopted my new philosophy: ‘I just might not live that very much longer.’

So if you have a dream, an interest, something you really want, and you can reasonably afford it, like Nike says, just do it.
